Arachne's Shadow ~ Antique French Parasol
with Handmade Lace and Semi-Sheer Spiderweb Design

This fabulous one of a kind antique French parasol has a striking look with its panels of semi-sheer netting woven into the fabric in a shadow-striped batwing scalloped design which at the top looks like a lovely spiderweb! As if that's not enough there are also multiple rows of handmade ivory lace giving it a wonderfully whimsical feel. There's even a dainty little engraved ring with rosy-lavender enamelling encircling the lower handle. There are of course a few subtle signs of the passage of the past century like slight wear to the handle, etc... just part of its well-loved (and clearly well-cared for) history. Its original beauty & usefulness remains and this parasol would certainly be a worthy addition to a collection of treasured antiques, make for a truly fabulous gift, or could even be used gently for photoshoots, picnics, etc...
