Kambriel Blackened Wings & Dreamlike Things Caped Shawl
Selected by Stevie Nicks for Contest Finalist

A handmade design by Kambriel, inspired by the silhouette of the mystical birds of Rhiannon taking flight across a moonlit sky ~ this darkly ethereal, dramatically proportioned cape-like wrap or shawl is made upon a base of black silk georgette embellished with thousands of semi-matte jet black paillettes of varying shapes and sizes which shimmer delicately, catching the light with every movement. It is bound with soft bias trim around the neck for comfort, and framed in pleated black satin. Below the pleated satin descends row upon row of sheer black ruffles, cascading into a low, pointed center back ~ creating a wonderful flow and drape for the entire design, and yet another dimension of graceful, ever-shifting light & shadow. It measures approx. 53" long at the center back and the long front edge is approx. 118" overall, so it hangs about 1/2 that down each side when being worn (quite long ~ much like a cape!). I hope the love & sense of enchantment it was created with comes through...
