Art Nouveau Witch Bodice
Rare Vintage Gothic Couture

This extraordinarily graceful, darkly elegant Gothic lace top is a true rarity as it is made the Art Nouveau style, but with a darkly dramatic witchy, vampiric twist! It's the type of piece any self-respecting ghost would happily wear to haunt their way through the centuries in, or an elegant muse to pose for a painted portrait... Made from a variety of fine black *sheer* English nettings with artfully rendered black on black embroidery, it features a high neck which closes in back with hooks & eyes, while the lower back has an open section, which below closes with 4 small buttons. There are wonderfully dramatic & full, uniquely designed off-shoulder sleeves cut with a fullness which lends a timeless leg o'mutton silhouette given shape ingeniously with a near-invisible delicate strip of black lace applied to the sleeve's interior. This opulent fullness is balanced with the closely fitted lower sleeves which have been topped with a hand-gathered ruffle with a decorative scalloped edge. The tapered waist is accented with a long gathered peplum which drapes softly along the lower hem.

Sizing & Condition: It's extra-small with the chest measuring approx. 36" & waist approx. 26". The sleeve's fitted wrists are approx. 7" around. The neck measures approx. 14" around. Overall length is approx. 24 1/2". It is as immaculate as one could possibly wish for in a vintage piece (with the most *minor* signs of age/wear like a tiny hole shown at the back netting in the final close-up photo) and... is simply ~ well, ornately... Beautiful! Truly gorgeous enough to be worthy of display as-is, but if you're lucky enough to have it fit as well, it will be a ~darkly decadent delight~ to wear.
